Mines doing this but it sounds way worse than this. Has a grinding squeak to it even while going forwards.

What causes this?

WARNING: Just touching the inside of a pipe can add microbes that will multiply exponentially, so use brand new clean gloves and change them often. DON'T touch the new filter with bare hands if you plan on using it, especially as shown in this video at around 3:00 where he first grabbed the filthy used filter first. And DON'T throw the new filter on the ground. Now he should disinfect that filter prior to use, prior to putting it into his disinfected system. Good video otherwise, nice tips!

You're supposed to put the water softener thing and bypass mode . Chlorine can destroy the components inside of it. You're saying don't let the chlorinated water go into your hot water tank?

Holy Crap Thats Whaf Mine Sounds like !! Did you used to get like these weird groan/ vibrations at highway speeds followed by the similiar sounds ???

Bad rear control arms allowing the differential to move. You may have heard a bump or clunk. After movement, the pinion seal may leak. Any differential will overheat and fail without fluid.

Exactly how mine sounded and just had the rear diff basically weld itself at 30mph tn but thankfully it didn’t bust anything else on its way out.

Had this exact problem tightened the nut never had a problem again

How did you go about mounting your go pro? I have this gnarly rattle when im coasting and im not sure if its the pre load but i plan on doing the main seal on the front diff cus i know its bad. But i want to see if theres anything else im missing

1992 f150 4.9 inline six 5 speed has done this twice in it's life time. The first time @ 175K miles, it got bad enough to take the seal out, and dust was sticking to the oil on the tailgate. We made a shim on a lathe to go under the U joint that pushed back on the outer pinion bearing. By chance we got a good result after tightening the pinion nut tight. The second time it only took a good tightening, at around 400K miles. Still a running truck around the farm today.

Mine made noises like that, upon acceleration, and eventually the driveshaft just plain fell off from the rear axle

Lots of guys asking how tight to get that pinion nut if it's loose. Just do it like we done it down in southern Illinois - tighten it just enough to where the threads on the pinion shaft poke out through the front of your radiator about 1/8". That's about right.

Smh...the bearing is worn out

Mine just started doing this. I wasn't sure if it was my exhaust from how smooth pitch of a noise it is from inside. Thats gotta be it. Thank you
